I so enjoy reading all of your stuff!! And I definitely want the recipe for those cookies!!!! I’m not much of a baker…I’m better at just cooking….but they sound too good to resist!! We are planning a visit in the new year…hope to get to see yall too!!!

It cracked me up when you said “at the risk of the ghost of Christmas past showing up”!!That was so funny. We don’t do the birthday cake for Jesus for that same reason. My kids just didn’t get it! But they know all about the reason for the season!

I love that you text Santa. LOL! I’m not sure that would even phase my kids.

We’ve done 3 gifts in the past — for the same reason. This year we switched to 4 because I learned this cute poem: Something they want, Something they need; Something to wear, and Something to read. EASY!

Your birthday party story reminded me of a time at our church when a little girl wouldn’t give her Christmas missions offering because she was waiting for Lottie Moon to be there to receive it. Her mom had told her it was money for Lottie Moon, so she wasn’t gonna leave it at the church for just anyone.

Girl, I wish I had a nickel for every time I speed dialed Santa. When my girl told me she didn’t think I knew Santa’s number I told her the hospital gave it to all new moms when their first babies were born. SUCH a LIAR! hahaha.. I like to think it’s different though…
