Is this the right group?

Is this the group that falls down, gets scraped up, sometimes trips over the same thing but gets back up and keeps going?  Are you the ones who will reach down to help me back up when I fall even though you still have a little dirt on your knees from your last fall?  Is this the group that will love me enough to speak the truth (in love, of course) when I miss it but won’t kick me when I’m down?  Are you the ones who will remind me to keep my eyes on the prize?  That I am nothing without Him but I can do all things through Him?  ‘Cause I don’t need the group that has it all together, no scrapes, no evidence of falls… just a seemingly perfect look.

I need real people who love Christ and love people.  People who are aware of their own scrapes and bruises; people who know He is the one with healing for their wounds and instruction for their falls.  That’s the group I’m gonna’ need—His Body working together to supply the needs of the Body (Ephesians 16:4).

I recognize some of you!  You ARE that group.  Thank you for being real.  Thank you for your encouragement, support, love and prayers. When life gets tough as it has for me over the past weeks, I’m encouraged to press on and reminded to take refuge in The Rock of Ages.  Because of you.  Because of your prayers, your emails, and your own blog posts.
