What my man does to me!- Sincerely ‘Fro Me to You

What my man does to me!

What my man does to me!

This picture was taken April 2005.  Somewhere around the 18th-celebrating our 7th Anniversary.  We were on a cruise to Cozumel and Cancun.  One of the best times I’ve had with Joe!  We were in a dance class learning to do a Latin dance.  I can’t recall which one.
What I do recall is Joe cracking me up.  Is that obvious?  What his mom couldn’t see when she took this picture was his attempts to imitate Antonio Banderas or some other Latin lover.
This picture isn’t exactly a perfect shot of Joe.  But it says so much.
I’ve been thinking a lot about my man.  I’ve written so many posts about the girls.  It’s time I talk about him!
Joe is not only my husband; he is my best friend.  Oh, I have lots of girlfriends.  I have my best friend since 9th grade.  I have a best girlfriend who spends lots of girls’ nights out with me, makes me laugh, makes me cry.  I have many other friends as well.  I am truly blessed.  Joe is giving in allowing me time with my friends.
But Joe is my soul mate.  He is a dedicated, dependable, hard-working husband.  And much more!  He’s a wonderful father to Sophie and Joedaddyto Cammie and Courtney.  He makes me laugh with his dry sense of humor.  He brings great joy to my life.  He is a man of few words- completely opposite of me!  He teaches me so many things, yet, is often completely unaware of doing so.
So many times throughout the years I have been bent on making him see things that I believed he was blinded to.  The subtly of Eve- I’ve used it.  In my attempts to whip out my symbolic crayons and paper and draw him a clue, God has humbled me and reminded me that the kindgom of God is not in word, but in power (I Cor. 4:20).  And inevitably Joe would open his mouth and speak great wisdom with very few words-  without self gain, rebuke or hidden motive.  And I would stand in awe of the ways of Almighty God.
Joe and I are opposites in many ways.  We learn differently.  When Joe grabs hold of something, he doesn’t let go.  At times I’ve been frustrated that he just “wouldn’t get it”.  But the truth is, I’ve waivered in the things I’ve known to be right innumerable times.  We don’t have a perfect marriage.  Who does?  But as long as we stand firmly on the Rock of Christ Jesus, we will press on together.
When tensions rise and our relationship is strained, I’ll see this picture and remember how blessed I truly am!
I thank God for you, Joe!  I love you more than chocolate!
Your Angel (or Angle, which ever you prefer baby! ;) )
